Jets players have been using doTerra’s essential oils for a better night’s sleep and improved respiratory health
With sleep and recovery becoming bigger priorities than ever for professional athletes, the New York Jets have partnered with doTerra, a globally recognized integrative health and wellness company specializing in essential oils and aromatherapy.
Dr. Brad DeWeese, high performance director for the Jets, has implemented doTerra’s essential oils into the players’ daily routines. Over the last two years, players have incorporated these oils into various aspects of their wellness regimens, including diffusing Citrus Bliss Oil in the morning, applying Lavender Oil drops to pillows before bedtime to facilitate a good night’s sleep and using Peppermint Oil to support respiratory health and maintain clear breathing.
“Our partnership with doTerra has allowed us to educate the team on total wellness,” Dr. DeWeese said. “Since incorporating doTerra products into the team’s wellness program in 2021, our players have developed a better understanding of how to maximize recovery, create a better sleep regimen, and enhance their overall wellness routine. Adding things like a doTerra diffuser and the brand’s Lavender Oil to their daily routine has allowed the players to relax with a calming aroma after a long day. That, along with other good sleep habits, means they come to practice or a game the next day feeling recovered and ready to maximize their ability to perform.”
Other teams, such as the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic, have also recognized the benefits of doTerra’s products in supporting athletic activity, recovery, and overall wellness.
